Our History

1987
The Institution originates from the need felt by Mrs. Ernestina Rodríguez Rivera, of establishing an institution devoted to providing excellence in bilingual education, centered on the child’s integral development. Since its foundion in 1987, SPBS has been devoted to fostering the integral development of its students, in a safe and pleasant environment, with emphasis on the development of values to prepare hundreds of students to become responsible men and women, productive citizens, who may effectively contribute to the improvement of society.
1989
In 1989, in response to the demands of the parents, the students and the general community, the School expanded its academic offerings and began offering programs at the Junior High School level. Computer courses were started, integrating the use of technology to the teaching and learning process.
SPBS enjoys the support of its students, the parents and the community, who distinguish it as the most prestigious institution who provide bilingual services in Guayama.
2003
In 2003, the High School program was begun, as well as the offering of Dance, Theater, Health, Ethics and French courses to enrich the curriculum.
2014
We opened our “Little Clovers Enrichment Center” a program that offers educational services for children two years old and up. By May, 2018, the School had graduated nineteen Twelfth Grade classes.
PRESENT
Our resent efforts have been on improving our facilities for the comfort of our students. We also integrated a STEAM Lab and other technologically advanced resources to the educational experience. Our goal is to continue growing our educational offerings while keeping track of the newest teaching techniques and Instructional Technology available.
